How to connect by Wi-Fi
When you're in a BT Openzone Wi-Fi hotspot or outdoor coverage area with your wireless-enabled device:
- insert a Wi-Fi card or switch on wireless capability
- select BT Openzone via the Wi-Fi signal icon in your system tray and connect
- open your web browser and a BT Openzone log-in page will appear. If it doesn't, type 'www.btopenzone.com' into your browser's address bar.

It's easy to set-up a wireless connection, whatever your device's operating system. Please choose your operating system and follow the simple steps below:
To set up a wireless connection using Windows 7:
- Hover your mouse over the network connections icon located at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
- Left-click the icon to bring up a list of available wireless networks.
- Left-click on the BT Openzone option to connect. Tick the 'connect automatically' box if you'll be using the service on a regular basis.

- When connecting for the first time you'll be asked to select a location. We recommend you choose the 'Public network' option.

To set-up a wireless connection using Windows Vista:
- Switch on your laptop and right click on the network icon in the system tray. This is at the bottom right of the screen.
- Highlight 'BT Openzone' in the box of available wireless networks and click 'Connect'

To set-up a wireless connection using Windows XP:
- Switch on your laptop and right click on the wireless network icon in the system tray. This is at the bottom right of the screen.
- After you have right clicked on the icon, choose 'View Available Wireless Networks'.
- You should then look to see if BT Openzone appears in the list. If it's there you can click on the BT Openzone wireless network and then press 'connect'.
